In short
Everything at Printy Design is made to order, so please check your artwork and proof carefully before you approve it. If something arrives faulty, damaged or not as approved, I will put it right. Your legal rights as a customer are never affected by anything on this page.
About these terms
These terms apply to everything you buy from, or do on, printydesign.co.uk. In these terms, I, me and Printy Design mean Dwaine Richardson, a sole trader trading as Printy Design. You can contact me at hello@printydesign.co.uk.
By placing an order or using the website you agree to these terms, so please read them first. If you are buying as a consumer (not for a business), nothing here limits your legal rights.
Using the website
Please use the website lawfully and fairly. That means no hacking, scraping, overloading the site, or trying to access areas that are not meant for you.
If you create an account, keep your login details private and let me know if you think someone else has used them. I can suspend or close access to the website if these terms are broken.
Ordering and your contract with me
To order, choose your product and options, upload your artwork or ask for a design, and check out. Please give accurate details, especially your delivery address and contact information.
When you check out you will get an email acknowledging your order. That is not yet acceptance. A contract between us is formed when I confirm that I have accepted your order, usually with an order confirmation or a message saying it is going into production.
If I cannot fulfil an order for any reason (for example a product is unavailable or there is a pricing mistake), I will tell you and refund anything you have paid in full.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in pounds sterling (£). The total you see at checkout, including delivery, is what you pay.
- Prices can change at any time, but never for an order that has already been accepted.
- Payment is taken in full when you order, through secure payment partners such as Stripe, PayPal and Klarna, depending on the options shown at checkout. I never see or store your full card details.
- If you pay with a pay-later service such as Klarna, that provider’s own terms apply to the payment arrangement.
- If a price is clearly wrong, I will tell you and you can choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Artwork, proofs and approval
Because everything is made to order, I print what you upload or approve. Before you submit artwork or approve a proof, please check:
- spelling, wording, phone numbers and web addresses
- sizes, shapes, quantities and colours
- that your images are high enough quality to print sharply
If I design something for you, I will show you a proof and make reasonable changes before production starts. Production begins once you approve the proof or confirm your artwork is final.
Colours on a screen never match print exactly, and slight differences in colour, size and cutting are normal in printing, including between different batches. These small variations are not treated as faults.
Once you have approved a proof or artwork, I cannot offer a refund or reprint for mistakes in what was approved. If the finished item does not match what you approved, see the Refunds & Returns Policy.
Your artwork and content
- You confirm you own your artwork or have permission to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s copyright, trademarks or other rights.
- Your artwork must not be unlawful, defamatory, hateful or otherwise something I could not reasonably produce. I can refuse or cancel an order for this reason and will refund you in full if I do.
- You are responsible for any claim that your artwork infringes another person’s rights.
- You keep ownership of your own artwork. You allow me to use it only to make and deliver your order.
- I may share photos or videos of finished work on social media or in my portfolio. If you would rather I did not, tell me before your order goes into production.
Designs I create for you
When I create a design for your order, you can use it on the products you ordered. I keep the rights to my own templates, tools and general design style, and I may show the work in my portfolio. If you need the original editable files or full ownership of a design, please ask before you order and I will confirm what is possible in writing.
Production and delivery
Everything is made to order. The production times on the Turnaround Times page are in working days (Monday to Friday) and are estimates, not guarantees. Delivery time is added on top, depending on the delivery option you choose at checkout.
- Delivery options and prices are shown at checkout, and I use trusted couriers and postal services.
- If there is a delay, I will contact you directly.
- I can split an order so you receive some items first, as long as the extra postage is covered.
- Ownership of your goods passes to you when I receive payment in full, and the risk passes when they are delivered to you.
- Please check your parcel when it arrives and tell me about any problem as soon as you can.
- You are responsible for giving me a correct delivery address. If a parcel is returned because of an address mistake, extra delivery costs may be charged.
Faulty items, cancellations and refunds
Most products are made to your specification, so under UK law the usual 14-day right to change your mind does not apply to them. Items that arrive faulty, damaged, or not as approved are always covered. The full details are in the Refunds & Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact me as soon as possible. If production has not started I will do my best to help.
Your legal rights
If you are a consumer, the law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015) says goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their purpose, and made with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away. You can find free guidance at Citizens Advice.
My responsibility to you
- If I break these terms, I am responsible for losses that were a foreseeable result of that. I am not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable.
- I am not responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside my reasonable control, such as courier or postal disruption, supplier problems, extreme weather or power and internet outages.
- If you are buying for your business, I am not liable for lost profit, lost sales or lost business, and my total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow me to limit.
Website content
The text, images, graphics and logos on this website belong to Printy Design or are used with permission. Please do not copy, reproduce or distribute them without asking me first. I take care to keep the information on the website accurate, but I cannot guarantee it is always complete or up to date. Privacy and cookies
How I use your personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy, and how the website uses cookies is explained in the Cookie Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live. If you have a problem, please contact me first so I can try to put it right.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The version on the website when you place your order is the one that applies to that order. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
